Lily Chandler
Lilly Chandler has been working for Animal School since she started as a volunteer in 2020. She is passionate about Animal Care and has a Distinction in Animal Management from Plumpton College.
She is an incredibly talented artist and runs her illustration company "As we run with Wolves" alongside being a teaching assistant for Animal School.
Grace Golland
At the age of five, Grace Golland first "helped" with Lindsays Animal School at a pet club Lindsay used to run at Hassocks Pet Centre.
She was a determined young child and insisted she would work for Lindsay one day.
Sure enough, she came back to work in 2020 and has been heavily involved with running the Animal Club here over the years.
She is a passionate and knowledgeable teacher and is currently studying a degree in Zoology at Sussex University alongside running our Saturday Morning Clubs.
Grace is a keen Rugby player and plays for the team at uni, this has resulted in her coming to work with a black eye one time! She also collects animal plushies.
Tam Large
Tam Large is the land owner and has been our site manager since 2022.
Tam has worked with animals since the 1960s. He used to work for the circus and even had a pet squirrel monkey for years!
For several years Tam ran a sheep farm on the site where we now host Animal School.
Tam's passions are talking about the past, drinking tea and getting involved in any of the more mucky jobs that come with working with animals.
Amelie Semento-Carr
Amelie is our resident volunteer from Plumpton College and like Grace, she first started attending Lindsay's club when she was five.
Amelie is passionate about art, dog training and animal care. She has a particular love for sheep!
